MICA HAS BEEN ESTABLIISHED FROM THE NEED FOR MINORITY AND INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS BOTH UNION AND NON-UNION TO HAVE A CENTRALIZED PLACE TO COMMUNICATE TO LARGER CONTRACTORS THERE QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITITES, AND AVAILABILITY.

MICA PROVIDES INFORMATION, TRAINING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THE SUBCONTRACTORS WHILE PROVIDING OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE FAIRLY IN THE GREATER COLUMBUS PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENTAL CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.

MICA advises and helps Contractors narrow the gap for Local Economic Disadvantage Business.

MICA members would like to be utilized for our qualifications not our race or gender. We believe that Mica has the most diversified group of qualified contractors, suppliers and service people in the City, but have been ignored and pass over by our community, governmental policy makers and private firms either by choice or lack of ability to communicate to us their opportunities.

Our alliance  has over 200 qualified members of all races and ethnical and economic backgrounds.

Exclusive purpose is to provide a voice to communicate Local Economic Disadvantage Business concerns to governmental agencies, local officials, and area commissions.

Provide a centralized location for our contractors which consist of youth and adults who need technical and financial assistance in procuring contracts in construction, supplies, equipment and professional services.
